Yazd Pendant Light

A hand-formed bell shade with a rough cast surface and a wavy rim, marked with a single black brush stroke. It looks like something made rather than manufactured.

The shell is cast and left deliberately uneven, with a textured chalky cream surface that catches light on the ridges and holds shadow in the hollows, so it reads as raw plaster or old stone rather than as a painted finish. The rim is cut in a soft wave rather than a circle, which throws an uneven edge on whatever sits below it. A single black arc is brushed onto one face as the only decoration. It hangs on a plain cable from a small canopy.

Where it works: over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or singly in a living room corner where the texture reads against a plain wall.

It is hand-finished, so no two shades carry exactly the same texture or the same brush mark. If you want a matched pair, order them together.
