Kerman Pendant Light

A shallow metal plate hung flat on its cable, with a frosted diffuser set into the underside so the whole disc glows rather than showing a hard bright spot.

The disc hangs low over a table without blocking the view across it. The top surface is a dark near black with a brass pin at the centre where the cable meets it, and the underside carries an acrylic diffuser that spreads the LED evenly across the full width. Light goes down and slightly outward, which suits a round table where you want the surface lit and the faces around it kept out of shadow. The cable can be shortened at the ceiling.

Where it works: centred over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or low over a round breakfast table.

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy and none to change later. Treat the whole fitting as the consumable and hang it where the disc has room to be seen from below.
