Ramsar Pendant Light

A wide shallow disc in a dark wood finish, with a cage of fine brass wires curving down beneath it to hold the lamp. Two very different materials doing two different jobs.

The disc slopes gently from a brass collar at the top down to a thin rim, and the grain runs out from the centre in a fanned pattern, so it catches light differently across its width. Under it, a bowl of slim brass rods curves in towards the lamp, which is left visible between them. That means the fitting throws bright light down through the open cage and a warm reflected glow up onto the underside of the disc, so it reads as two tones at once. It hangs on a plain cable that can be shortened at installation.

Where it works: over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or as the main fitting in a living room with height to give it.

The lamp sits inside an open cage and will be seen from every seat at the table, so choose a bulb worth looking at. A warm filament lamp suits the brass, and nothing is supplied in the box.
