Four smoked glass heads on a straight chrome bar, each one swivelling so the light can be aimed along a worktop or across a wall.

Every head sits on a ball joint at the rail, so the beams can be fanned out along a run of units or turned together onto one wall. The shades are smoked glass rather than clear, which takes the hard edge off a small lamp and stops four exposed bulbs reading as harsh from a low ceiling. Chrome on the bar and the heads keeps it neutral in a grey or white kitchen. It mounts on a ceiling as photographed or flat on a wall.

Where it works: over a kitchen island or worktop, in a home office above a desk, or along a hallway wall where directional light beats a single ceiling fitting.

Bulbs are not included and you need four of them, so factor that in. Small clear candle lamps show the smoked glass better than opal ones.

Returns 14 days from delivery, no reason required. If it arrives damaged we cover the return — transit damage is our problem.
