Isfahan Wall Light

A single black tube bent into an arched shape on a round backplate, with a bare lamp at each end. Two points of light, no shade, nothing else in the way.

The whole fitting is one continuous tube, powder coated matt black, springing from a plain disc backplate and turning down to hold a lamp on each leg. There is no shade and no diffuser, so the lamps themselves are the decoration and a pair of round golf-ball lamps suits the geometry far better than a candle shape. It is small enough to hang either side of a bed without crowding the headboard, and the flat black reads as a graphic line against a pale wall.

Where it works: either side of a bed as bedside lighting, along a hallway, or up a landing wall where a projecting fitting would be in the way.

There is no plug, no cable and no switch, so it needs a supply in the wall and an electrician. Round golf-ball lamps suit the shape.
