Yazd Flush Ceiling Light

A clear hammered glass drum flat to the ceiling, held by a black rim with a cross strap under the glass that reads as the design rather than as hardware.

The glass is pressed into round dimples, the water-drop pattern that distorts a filament lamp into a scatter of small bright points instead of one shape. Being clear rather than opal, it stays bright and the two lamps inside are part of the look. The black frame is more than a ring here: two straps cross under the drum and meet at a central boss, which is what stops the fitting reading as a plain ceiling drum. It sits flush against the plaster, so a low hallway or landing ceiling still clears it.

Where it works: a hallway, a landing, a bedroom or a utility room with a ceiling too low to hang anything from.
