Tabriz Flush Ceiling Light

Seeded glass carries a scatter of fine bubbles frozen in the pour, and lit from inside those bubbles pick up the filament and turn a plain drum into something with real texture and depth. The black metal is worked as a rim top and bottom with short vertical straps between them, a banded frame that gives the glass something to sit in and adds the only hard line on the fitting. It mounts flat to the ceiling with no stem, so it suits a landing, a hallway or any room where the ceiling is low enough that a hanging light would be in the way.

Where it works: a hallway, a landing, a bedroom or an entrance where headroom rules out a pendant.

Bulbs are not included, and because the seeded glass is clear the lamps are on show, so buy a matched pair of warm filament lamps rather than whatever is in the drawer.
