Zanjan Wall Light

Twin solid brass cones meeting at a narrow waist, one opening upward and one down, so a single fitting lights the wall in both directions.

The shape is the whole design: a pair of cones joined at the middle on a slim stem, with a small round backplate and nothing else to it. Each cone holds its lamp deep inside, so what you see is the cone mouth glowing and a clean beam of light on the wall above and below rather than a bare bulb at eye level. The brass has a warm brushed finish rather than a mirror polish, and the fitting is tall and narrow, which is what lets a pair sit either side of a bed without eating into the bedside table.

Where it works: as bedside lighting either side of a bed, elsewhere in a bedroom, or on a living room wall where an up and down beam suits better than a shaded lamp.
