Semnan Flush Ceiling Light

A wide clear glass bowl pressed with a diamond cut pattern, fixed flat to the ceiling inside a plain brass rim.

The cutting is what makes it: a fine diamond grid pressed across the whole bowl, so light from the three lamps behind it is broken up into a soft prickle of highlights instead of one flat glare, and the glass looks textured rather than empty in daylight. The brass is kept to a narrow band around the rim and a small finial underneath, which stops the bowl looking heavy. It sits flush to the ceiling, so it works where a pendant would be in the way.

Where it works: a hallway, a bedroom or a landing, and any room with a ceiling too low for a hanging fitting.

Bulbs are not included, and the cut glass shows the shape of the lamp, so three matching lamps look far better than a mixed set.
