Golshah Chandelier

A long black box of perforated steel mesh, hung on chains over an island, with brass lamp holders standing inside it in a row.

The frame is welded steel in a matt black finish and the sides are filled with a fine mesh, so the light inside is broken into a grid rather than left bare. That is the whole point of the design: it reads as a solid dark mass from across a room and dissolves into pattern when you are under it. The brass lamp holders are the only warm colour and they sit in a straight line along the length, which is what makes it work over a run of worktop rather than a round table. The chain drop is adjustable at installation.

Where it works: over a kitchen island, above a long dining table, or in a dining room with a high ceiling to take the chain drop.

Bulbs are not included and sit behind mesh, so a warm filament lamp reads better than a bright opal one.

Returns 14 days from delivery, no reason required. If it arrives damaged we cover the return — transit damage is our problem.

The fitting, its mounting hardware and an installation sheet. No bulb — you choose the brightness and warmth, and the parcel ships lighter for it.
