Four white opal globes on tapered brass cones, radiating from a short stem so the whole fitting sits close under the ceiling.

The arms are the detail worth paying for: solid brass cones that widen out from a central hub and taper back in to meet each globe, so the metal reads as turned rather than bent tube. The glass is opal right through, not a clear globe with a coating, which is why it glows evenly instead of showing a hot spot where the lamp sits. Two globes point up and two point down, throwing an up and down beam so light goes onto the ceiling as well as into the room. It sits close to the ceiling rather than dropping far into the room.

Where it works: a bedroom, a living room, or a hallway with a standard ceiling height.

Bulbs are not supplied. A warm white lamp keeps the brass looking warm and suits the opal glass well.
