Gudarz Pendant Light

A slim brass bar carrying five solid crystal cube shades, hung at staggered heights so the row has rhythm instead of sitting in a flat line.

The bar is a flat brass section, deliberately thin so that it almost disappears above the shades. Each cube is bevelled crystal, heavy enough to look solid when the light is off, and they are dropped on short stems at alternating heights rather than levelled off, which stops a long run of five looking mechanical. The lamps sit inside the blocks, so what you see is the crystal lighting up from within rather than a visible lamp. The whole thing hangs on a rigid rod.

Where it works: over a kitchen island, along a dining table, or in a dining room where a long run of light is wanted rather than one central fitting.

Bulbs are not supplied. Clear lamps give the most sparkle through the crystal cubes.
