Seven angular clear glass shades hung at staggered heights from a single brass canopy, so one ceiling point covers the length of an island.

Each shade is blown clear glass pressed into an angular, faceted profile, so the glass throws hard highlights along its edges while staying almost invisible across the middle. They arrive in three sizes, two small, three medium and two large, and that mix is what stops a row of seven from reading as a repeating pattern. All of them hang on brass cords from one rectangle brass canopy, and every cable is adjustable, so the staggered heights are set by you at installation rather than fixed at the factory. With the glass clear, the lamp itself is on show, and a filament lamp is the natural choice.

Where it works: along a kitchen island, over a long dining table, or down a hallway where a single pendant would leave the ends dark.

Bulbs are not included, and with clear glass the lamps are part of the look, so buy seven matching filament lamps rather than whatever is in the drawer. Check your ceiling can take the canopy on one fixing point.
