Tahmineh Pendant Light

A tapered square frame in matt black, open on all four sides with no glass at all, carrying four filament lamps on a central cluster.

This is a lantern in outline only. There is no glazing anywhere on it, so nothing softens the lamps and the light goes straight out through the open sides, which makes the choice of lamp the whole look of the fitting. The frame is matt black metal, wider at the base than at the top, and a mirrored plate is set into the underside of the roof to double the lamps back at themselves. It hangs on a black chain from a small ceiling plate, adjustable over a wide range.

Where it works: a hallway with height, over a kitchen island, or in a bedroom where an open frame suits a plainer room.

Four exposed lamps from an open frame is a lot of glare. Fit low output filament LEDs, not clear incandescent lamps.
