Ramsar Wall Light

A single fluted clear glass cylinder on a tapered stem, in a brushed bronze finish that photographs and reads as black.

Same slim proportion as the brass version, same sharpened point below the backplate, and a completely different mood. The bronze here is dark enough to pass for matt black at any normal viewing distance, with warmth only where a highlight runs along the stem. Against a pale or textured wall it draws a clean vertical line. The clear glass cylinder is fluted, which keeps the lamp lively and stops the fitting looking like a plain tube. The shade lifts off for cleaning, which matters more on clear glass than on opal.

Where it works: at bedside height beside a bed, in a hallway, or in a bedroom where a dark fitting is wanted against a light wall. It suits a living room equally well.
