Chalus Wall Light

A softly veined alabaster wall light shaped like a rounded ellipse, split by a slim brass band, that glows warm and even once lit rather than throwing a hard beam.

Each piece is cut from natural alabaster, so the veining across the stone is unique to the fitting you receive; light passes through the translucent stone rather than off it, giving a soft amber glow with none of the hard edges of a glass shade. A slim brass band wraps the middle of this elongated ellipse form, splitting the silhouette into two rounded lobes and adding a warm metal accent against the pale stone. The integrated LED means there is no bulb to change, and the vertical orientation reads as a sculptural object on the wall even when it is switched off.

Where it works: either side of a bed in a bedroom, along a hallway wall, or as a soft accent light in a living room where a warm glow matters more than task lighting.
