The same tall alabaster column with dark bronze caps, so the stone reads warm against metal that sits close to black.

Translucent alabaster lights from the inside, spreading an even glow across the full height of the cylinder and showing its veining as soft grey cloud. The bronze fittings are almost black in the photograph, which throws the stone forward instead of framing it in gold. There is a slim band at the centre as well as the caps at each end, breaking the column into sections. Every piece of stone is different, so the pattern you receive will not match the photograph exactly, and that is the point of buying stone rather than glass.

Where it works: along a hallway, in a bedroom beside a bed, or in a living room where a dark fitting suits the rest of the metalwork.
