Zanjan Table Lamp

A fluted amber glass teardrop, sold as a base on its own, so the shade is yours to choose and the price reflects that.

The glass is pressed in a soft amber and pulled into a teardrop, narrow at the neck and full at the bottom, with vertical flutes running the whole height. The fluting is doing real work: it breaks the light into ridges when the lamp is on and it disguises the flex running down inside the glass, which is the usual giveaway on a clear base. The holder at the top is black, a deliberate contrast rather than the gold most bases in this price bracket use. It stands tall enough to take a full sized shade, with any shade of a matching fitting.

Where it works: a bedside table, a hallway console, or a reading corner, with a shade chosen to suit the room.
