Rasht Table Lamp

A fluted amber glass teardrop base under a taupe cotton drum shade, a small warm lamp built for a bedside table rather than a room.

The base is pressed glass in a soft amber, drawn into a teardrop and ribbed with vertical flutes from top to bottom, which catch the light along every ridge and hide the flex running down inside. The shade is taupe cotton on an iron frame, slightly tapered and sized to balance the base. Taupe fabric absorbs more light than white, so the output is warmer and lower and most of it goes straight down, which suits a bedside table where a bright shade would be too much at night.

Where it works: a bedside table, a hallway console, or a reading corner alongside wood and linen.

A taupe shade with an amber base makes a dim, warm light. If you need to read by it, buy the white shade version instead.
