A rotating bar picture light in polished nickel, mirror bright on the backplate and knurled along the barrel for grip.
The round backplate and collar are polished to a mirror, which is what makes this the cool version of the same fitting rather than a repaint. The barrel carries a deep knurl across most of its length, so it reads as a machined metal object rather than a smooth tube, and that knurl is the grip you use to rotate the head. Under solid brass construction the nickel is a plated surface with varnish over it, so it should be wiped dry rather than cleaned with anything abrasive. Aimed at a canvas it grazes rather than floods.
Where it works: lighting art in a living room, above a bathroom mirror on a dry wall, or in a hallway alongside chrome ironmongery.
