Gorgan Table Lamp

A twisted column that turns through a half rotation between its square plinth and the shade, in a pale oak effect finish, under a natural linen drum.

The base is moulded poly resin, not solid timber, finished with an oak effect grain and a soft pale tone that catches light along the ridge of the twist and drops into shadow on the inside of it. That single sculptural turn is the whole design and it is why the lamp reads well from every side. It sits on a small square plinth and carries a wide natural linen drum shade, tapered slightly, which spreads light out sideways rather than concentrating it. Textured and matt rather than glossy, so it stays quiet next to real wood. It sits low enough for a bedside table and is weighted enough at the base to stay put.

Where it works: on a living room sideboard, on a bedside table, or on a hallway console against a plain wall.
