Hamadan Wall Light

A clear glass bell on a curved aged brass arm, mounted on a round stepped backplate turned from natural ash.

The backplate is solid ash, turned with concentric steps so it reads as a piece of joinery rather than a fixing, and it is left natural rather than stained. From it a brass arm curves out and down through a small turned wood collar to the shade. The shade is plain clear glass, flaring to a wide mouth, so the lamp is fully on show and throws a defined pool of light down the wall. Because nothing is tinted or frosted, the lamp you choose becomes the decorative element. It projects well clear of the wall, substantial enough to read as a proper fitting rather than an accent.

Where it works: a bedroom in a pair either side of the bed, a hallway, or a dining room where a warm natural fitting suits the walls.
