A two tier drum of textured clear glass panels hung in an antique brass frame, with five lamps inside throwing light through every one of them at once.

The glass panels are hung vertically in two rings, a wider one above and a narrower one below, so the whole fitting reads as a stepped drum rather than a single band. Each panel is handmade and irregular, which is what stops the light coming through evenly: it breaks and bends across the surface and drops shifting bands onto the ceiling and the table below. The frame is an antique brass plating, warm and slightly aged rather than bright. It hangs on a height adjustable chain, and the flex is a grey braided fabric.

Where it works: over a dining table, in a hallway with height, or in a living room with a ceiling that can take the weight.

Five lamps sit inside the two tiers. Check the ceiling fixing before ordering, because the weight is a lot to hang on a rose.
