Seven small clear glass drums, each holding a lit alabaster disc, hung at staggered heights from one round black canopy.

Each drop is built the same way: an outer skin of clear glass, squat and slightly barrel shaped, with a pale alabaster element sitting inside it and a black metal collar above. The clear glass adds depth and a rim of reflection while the stone does the diffusing, so the lit part stays soft and the surround stays sharp. Hung at seven different lengths from a single black canopy the group fills a vertical space rather than a flat circle, which is why this form is sold for stairwells. Cables are black fabric and the canopy is plain.

Where it works: down a stairwell or a double height hallway, or over a round dining room table where the drops can be staggered tightly.
