Ten faceted hand cut crystal globes on black cords, hung at staggered heights from a single brass canopy.

Each globe is a solid piece of crystal cut with hexagonal and pentagonal facets, so a single small lamp inside it is broken into dozens of bright points. Multiplied ten times and hung at different lengths the effect is a column of sparkle rather than a flat ring of light. The canopy is brass with a burnished finish, which is the anchor point for the whole group. Cords thread through the crystal and tighten at the canopy, so the drop of every globe is set on site rather than fixed in the factory.

Where it works: down a stairwell, in a double height hallway, or above a round dining room table.
