Bardia Chandelier

A slim open brass frame carries five hand cut crystal globes in a straight line above a kitchen island.

The frame is deliberately thin: a long horizontal member with two drop rods, so from the side the fitting almost disappears and only the crystal reads. Five solid globes of cut crystal sit upright along the bar, each faceted so a small lamp inside breaks into dozens of points rather than glowing evenly, and each light in the row picks out the worktop below it. The drop is adjustable using the supplied rod set, so it can hang low over a worktop or high in a room with more ceiling. It is heavy for its size, because the globes are solid rather than blown glass.

Where it works: over a kitchen island or along a dining table where a long bar matches the worktop below it.
