Hand cut crystal globes on radiating brass arms, hung on a rigid rod so the whole burst sits in one plane.

Slim brass arms fan out from a central hub at staggered lengths, each one carrying a solid faceted crystal globe at its tip. Because the arms sit at different angles the fitting fills a circle without stacking into tiers, so it wants width in a room rather than height. Every globe is ground and polished by hand into hexagonal and pentagonal facets, which is what turns a small lamp into dozens of points and throws prisms across the ceiling. The brass is burnished and varnished, so it darkens gently rather than staying mirror bright, and it takes a dry cloth only.

Where it works: above a dining room table, in a stairwell, or in a living room with the floor space to carry a wide spread.
