The simplest fitting in this family and the easiest to place. A burnished brass disc sits flat on the wall, a short stem rises from a small crossbar, and a single solid crystal glass globe sits on top of it, open at the crown. Cut by hand into hexagonal and pentagonal facets, the crystal takes one small lamp and turns it into a sparkle of hard bright points on the wall behind, which is why this reads as jewellery rather than as a light fitting. Nothing projects far, so it suits a narrow wall or a corridor.

Where it works: at bedside height beside a bed, in a bedroom, or along a hallway where a compact fitting is wanted at intervals.
