A single solid crystal globe on a dark round plate, where the metal reads black and only the cut glass catches the eye.

The plainest fitting in the family in its darkest finish, which makes it the easiest one to use in quantity. A round backplate, a short stem with a small bar across it, and one solid crystal globe on top, open at the crown. The bronze finish sits close to flat black with copper showing only in a highlight, so against a pale wall the fitting draws a small dark shape and the crystal above it does all the sparkling. Cut by hand into hexagonal and pentagonal facets, the globe scatters one lamp into a spread of bright points.

Where it works: at bedside height beside a bed, in a bedroom, or repeated down a hallway where dark fittings suit a pale wall.
