Brass spokes fan out from a low central hub and each one carries a tapered opal glass cone, narrow at the top and open at the wide end. Opal glass diffuses rather than transmits, giving a soft diffused light rather than six visible bulbs, so the fitting reads as six soft points rather than six hot spots. Black cords rise from the ends of the spokes to a brass ceiling plate, which is what gives the shape its Mid-Century style and posture. The supplier confirms the fitting suits a warm white light.
