Zabol Wall Light

A single milky white opal cone angled down from a raised brass ring, quiet enough to sit beside a bed or repeat down a hallway.

The backplate is the detail: a raised brass ring with a recessed centre, rather than the flat disc used on the two light version, which gives the fitting a softer edge against the wall. A short arm holds one tapered opal glass cone pointing down and slightly out. Opal glass diffuses the lamp completely, so there is no filament on show and the shade glows evenly from top to bottom with the brightest part at the open end. The supplier describes a light ageing treatment over natural brass under varnish, which keeps it warm rather than yellow.

Where it works: at bedside height beside a bed, repeated along a hallway, or in a bedroom where a single soft downlight is enough.
