Torbat Pendant Light

A solid glass teardrop shot through with trapped bubbles, hung from a slim cable on a polished gold ceiling plate.

The shade is cast solid rather than blown hollow, so the bubbles sit inside the body of the glass and catch the light from the integrated LED above them. The tint is champagne, warm rather than grey, which keeps the gold plate and the light itself in the same family. The LED gives a soft accent light rather than a room light, and the drop is adjustable at installation. Hung in threes at staggered heights it reads as one piece.

Where it works: over a kitchen island in a row, or as a single drop either side of a bed at bedside height.
