Quchan Wall Light

A bronze cone shade on a short stem and a slim backplate, throwing a clean pool of light down the wall beside a bed or a chair.

The shade is a narrow cone, angled straight down, so the light lands as a defined pool on the wall below rather than washing the whole room. That makes it a reading light first and a decorative one second. The backplate is a slim rectangle and the stem is short, so it sits close to the wall and does not catch a shoulder in a corridor. Everything is iron in the same dark bronze finish, satin rather than polished, warm brown under a warm lamp, and the compact head keeps the fitting neat.

Where it works: in a pair as bedside reading lights either side of a bed, along a hallway, or beside a living room armchair.
