Abarkuh Wall Light

A round white marble backplate carrying a short brass effect arm and a clear glass cylinder shade, so the lamp inside stays visible and the marble does the decorating.

The backplate is real Volakas marble, white with soft grey veining, and every piece will differ. The arm is a flat brass effect bar that steps forward and up to hold a clear glass cylinder with softly rounded corners, open at the bottom. Because the glass is clear rather than opal, the lamp is part of the design, so the shape of the lamp you fit changes how the fitting looks. Lit, it gives a warm direct glow with a bright halo on the marble behind it.

Where it works: as a bedside pair, along a hallway, or in a living room alcove where the marble reads against a painted wall.
