An urn shaped textured base cut with deep vertical ribs, dark walnut brown with the pale grain showing through, under a natural linen drum shade.

The ribbing runs the full height of the base and the recesses hold the darker pigment while the raised edges stay light, which is what gives the surface its bark like depth. It is a cast resin body rather than carved timber, so the pattern is even all the way round and the weight stays manageable for a piece this size. The shade is natural linen on a tapered drum frame, wide at the bottom, so the light falls across a console rather than pooling in one spot. This is a tall lamp, a genuine statement piece, and it needs a surface with some depth to sit on.

Where it works: on a living room console or sideboard, on a wide hallway table, or paired either side of a sofa.

No bulb is supplied. A warm white LED behind a linen shade this size gives a soft, even glow without turning the shade into a hot spot.
