Sepidan Pendant Light

A tall narrow cone with a heavily textured grey surface that catches light in patches along its length.

The proportions are the point: most cone pendants are wide and shallow, and this one is nearly three times as tall as it is wide, so it hangs as a slim vertical rather than a hovering shade. The outer surface is painted and worked into a rough mottled grey that reads closer to weathered concrete than to metal, while the inside is smooth and pale so light is thrown down in a tight column. That narrow beam makes it a task light in practice, good over a single worktop point or beside a bed, and less useful as the only light in a room.

Where it works: in a row over a kitchen island, hung low beside a bed in place of a bedside lamp, or over a reading corner.
