Hamadan Flush Ceiling Light

A shallow brass rimmed disc closed with a moulded acrylic face, cut in fine radial lines so the lit surface breaks into rays rather than glowing flat.

This is genuinely a flush fitting rather than a shallow drum, which is the whole reason to choose it over a pendant in a room with no height to spare. The acrylic diffuser is pressed with a radiating pattern and finished with a small turned centre boss, so unlit it reads as a decorative plate and lit it throws a faint starred pattern across the ceiling. The rim and boss are brass, warm rather than yellow, and the whole disc glows evenly rather than throwing light from a single hot point, because the diffuser is doing the work rather than a bulb behind a shade.

Where it works: a bedroom, a hallway, or a home office with a low ceiling, where the disc is wide enough to light the room without dominating it.

There is no bulb to buy and none to change. The light comes from a sealed integrated LED module, so when it eventually fails the fitting itself is replaced.
