A wide, shallow dome in fluted metal, finished in a muted sage green with a wavy, flower-like rim. Hangs low to put its retro shape on full display.

Pressed metal ribs radiate out from the centre of the dome to a scalloped edge, a shape borrowed from early twentieth century gas station lights and finished here in a soft sage green rather than raw steel. The opal bulb hangs exposed below the shade rather than hidden inside it, so the fitting reads as a single retro object rather than a light with a shade bolted on. It sits wide and low, better suited to a table than to a hallway run. The overall silhouette is what sells it: a single retro shape rather than a modern fitting with a shade bolted on.

Where it works: centred over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or as a single retro accent in a living room.
