Nowshahr Table Lamp

A fat rippled glass ellipse in a warm champagne tint, on a brass disc, under a plain white drum shade. The base is lit from within by the lamp above it.

The glass body is blown with a regular dimpled pattern, so it catches and repeats every highlight around it and reads as a piece of decorative glass in its own right when the lamp is off. It sits on a brushed brass foot and carries a slim brass stem up through the middle to the shade. The shade is a straight white fabric drum, open top and bottom, which throws a clean band of light up the wall and a pool down over the glass. A touch control built into the fitting switches the lamp, with no cable switch or separate wall control needed.

Where it works: on a bedside table, on a hallway console, or on a living room sideboard where the glass will catch the light in the day as well.
