A wide ribbed dome in aged brass, hung on a chain with the ridges catching light all the way round.

The shade is a broad dome with rounded shoulders and an open bottom, pressed into deep vertical ribs that run from the crown to the rim. Those ribs are what make it: each one holds a bright highlight along its crest and keeps a dark patina in its hollow, so the whole shade shifts between gold and near brown as you move around it. The inside is left bright, which throws a warm reflected glow down onto whatever is beneath. It hangs on a metal chain rather than a flex, which suits the weight and lets it sit low over a table.

Where it works: low over a kitchen island or a dining table, or in a hallway with the ceiling height to carry a shade this wide.
