Kordkuy Table Lamp

A slim turned wood column in a whitewashed finish under a cream linen shade, quiet enough to stand on a dresser without taking it over.

The column is turned into a stack of shallow rings and collars that catch the light along each edge, then finished in a whitewash thin enough that the grain still shows through as a pale grey. It is a traditional English lamp shape cut narrow, so it takes very little room on a crowded surface, and it is light enough to move with one hand. The shade is cream linen with a tapered profile, and the weave softens the light rather than blocking it, which is what gives the pool of light its soft edge. An in-line switch on the flex keeps the on and off within reach.

Where it works: on a bedroom chest of drawers, on a hallway console, or in a pair on living room side tables.
