Minudasht Table Lamp

A ribbed champagne glass capsule on a gold disc base, the warmest combination in this family of lamps.

Warm glass on warm metal, with nothing cool anywhere to break it up. The shade is pressed into deep vertical ribs and tinted a pale honey champagne, open at the top so the bulb shows through, and it sits on a low painted gold disc that carries the same tone right down to the table. Lit, it glows amber and casts a soft warm wash rather than a defined pool. Unlit it still reads as a warm object, which is more than most small lamps manage. It is mains powered and the shade fits onto the base at home.

Where it works: on a bedroom chest, a hallway console, or a sideboard in a room already built around brass, timber and cream.
