Kordkuy Wall Light

A blush pink ribbed glass shade on a black swan neck arm, wired to a plug rather than into the wall, so it needs no electrician.

The whole point of this one is the plug. It mounts to a round black backplate with two screws, and the cable runs down the wall to a normal socket with an in-line switch on the way, which makes it usable in a rented flat or anywhere without a spare wall supply. The arm curves out and down in matt black tube, holding the shade slightly away from the wall so the light falls forward rather than straight down the plaster. The shade is the same ribbed blush pink glass used across this range, open at the bottom, so the light comes out warm and striped.

Where it works: beside a bed as a bedside light, in a bedroom or a home office, anywhere a wired wall light is not an option.

The visible cable is the price of not needing an electrician. If that bothers you, a hardwired fitting is the better buy.
