Kalaleh Wall Light

A blush pink glass cylinder with deep flutes, hung from a warm gold arm, plugged in at the wall rather than wired into it.

The pink is in the glass rather than on it, a pale rose that reads almost clear at the thin points of the flutes and deepens where the ribs are heaviest. Warmed by a gold collar, cranked arm and round backplate, it lands somewhere between decorative and quiet, which is why it tends to end up in bedrooms rather than hallways. The cable drops from the backplate to an in-line switch and a plug, so the whole thing goes up with two screws.

Where it works: a bedroom, in pairs at bedside height either side of a headboard, or on a landing wall. No wiring needed, so it suits rented rooms.

Keep the lamp warm-toned. A cool white LED turns the pink glass grey and loses the whole point of it.
