Ardestan Semi Flush Ceiling Light

Five flattened glass globes on brushed nickel arms swept into flat swirls, sitting close to the ceiling and spreading light across a wide span.

The arms curve out from a small central plate and cross over each other, so the fitting reads as one continuous ribbon rather than five separate branches. Each ends in a squashed globe of satin white glass with clear glass lines cut through it, which lets a thin band of brighter light escape while the rest stays diffused. Five lamps spread across that width put light into the corners of a room instead of pooling it under the centre, and the LED lamps are supplied.

Where it works: a living room or dining room ceiling of ordinary height, where the width does the work of a much larger pendant.
