A single alabaster dome hung from a slim stem on a brushed brass backplate. Quiet enough to sit either side of a bed and not compete with anything in the room.

The backplate is a plain brushed brass rectangle, the stem drops straight from it, and a knurled collar in a darker brass tone grips the alabaster shade at the top. The stone is cut thin so the light passes through it rather than around it, giving a soft downward glow with the veining showing in the surface. It is a compact, restrained fitting, and the visual weight sits entirely in the stone rather than in the metal.

Where it works: in pairs as bedside lighting, along a hallway, or flanking a fireplace or mirror in a living room.
