Saqqez Wall Light

Five frosted glass feather blades fan out from a pair of curved brass arms, each vein etched into the glass so the light glows through it rather than off it.

The glass is cast and frosted rather than clear, which is what gives every blade its soft, almost paper-like glow instead of a hard glare. A pair of curved brass arms carries the cluster away from the wall, spreading the five blades into an open fan that reads as sculptural even switched off. Two lamps sit low in the cluster, so light spills upward through the frosted glass and settles into a gentle wash rather than a spotlight.

Where it works: as a statement pair either side of a bed, in a living room beside a sofa, or along a hallway wall with room either side of it.
