A tall matt black cone, from the floor to the lamp holder, sold as a floor lamp base for a shade you choose yourself.
The taper is the whole design. It starts wide enough at the floor to stand without a spreading foot and narrows the entire way up to a slim neck, so the lamp holds its own in a corner without taking up any visual room. The finish is a flat, even black with no sheen, which keeps the silhouette reading as a shape rather than a piece of metalwork. Switching is by a foot switch on the cable, so you turn it on where you can reach it rather than crouching at the base.
Where it works: a living room corner, a bedroom beside the bed, or over a reading corner armchair once you have paired it with a wide shade.

Returns 14 days from delivery, no reason required. If it arrives damaged we cover the return — transit damage is our problem.

The fitting, its mounting hardware and an installation sheet. No bulb — you choose the brightness and warmth, and the parcel ships lighter for it.
