A clear glass cone on a short brass stem, with a large filament globe sitting inside it and nothing hidden anywhere.

A slim brass stem drops from a black cable to a knurled holder, and the clear glass cone flares out below it. Clear glass gives no diffusion at all, so the fitting throws an open, slightly hard light and the lamp itself does the decorative work. The brass is burnished rather than plated, which means the colour will move over the years and each fitting will settle slightly differently. Hung in a row above a worktop the repeated cone shape reads as a set rather than as three separate objects.

Where it works: in a run over a kitchen island, above a dining table, or singly in a hallway.
