Dehloran Wall Light

A slim brushed brass bar on a small round backplate, throwing an even line of light down the wall beneath it.

There is nothing to this but a folded brass blade and the plate that carries it, which is exactly why it works over a mirror or a picture where the fitting is not meant to be the event. The bar is brushed rather than polished, so it holds a soft sheen instead of throwing reflections, and the downward glow comes out of a continuous strip along the underside rather than from a visible lamp. The projection is short and the backplate is round and small, so it sits close and reads as a line rather than an object.

Where it works: over a desk in a home office, along a hallway, on a landing, or above a picture in a living room.
